How do i protect myself?
There are several strategies to protect yourself from hot weather. Here are a few tips to keep you safe and healthy.
- Drink lots of water and stay hydrated
- Wear light coloured, loose fitting, lightweight clothing
- Place a cold towel or icepack on the back and neck periodically
- Try to avoid alcohol, sugary drinks, & caffeine
- Keep your blinds & curtains shut during the day & night
- Find a cooling centre near you
