How do i protect myself?

There are several strategies to protect yourself from hot weather. Here are a few tips to keep you safe and healthy. 

  • Drink lots of water and stay hydrated
  • Wear light coloured, loose fitting, lightweight clothing
  • Place a cold towel or icepack on the back and neck periodically 
  • Try to avoid alcohol, sugary drinks, & caffeine
  • Keep your blinds & curtains shut during the day & night
  • Find a cooling centre near you
